12/2007 Fiducial mark inspection during catalyst assembly
Friedberg, 11.11.2007 - The company Kirschenhofer GmbH specializes in the development and fabrication of plants for the production of catalytic converters and particulate filters.
One step during the production of catalytic converters consists of casing the fiber-mat-sheathed monoliths with metal (canning). When doing so, the precise feed of the metal casing is of great importance. Inaccuracies during positioning lead to faulty alignment of the connection recesses for lambda probes and thermocouples resulting in the elimination of the catalysts as defective goods.
Pauker's engineers have developed an image processing system for detection of fiducial marks on the sheathed pipes, which will now serially complement the canning machines of the company Kirschenhofer. The detection of the various fiducial marks with a precision of +/-0.1mm enables a precise alignment of the casing. Unlike in other existing detection systems, where the inspection is carried out by means of light sensors, the engineers of Pauker rely on color area cameras, which enable the detection of the most diverse fiducial marks (color distribution, form, position, label) and can thereby be utilized for a broad range of products.

11/2006 Pauker moves to the business park
The company Pauker moves its headquarters to the business park Friedberger See and has started the construction of the new building on an area of approx. 2,300 sqm. Medical technology, sensor technology and image processing are essential pillars of automation and modern quality assurance in the fields of which the Friedberg enterprise Fritz Pauker Ingenieure has gained international reputation within the last 21 years. Due to the company growth the present premises in Wiffertshausen have long exceeded their capacity limit. This led to the obvious decision to build a corporate building of one's own with additional expansion possibilities. The new think tank at the business park Friedberger See will be representatively designed in steel and glass.
05/2004 Awarded with the Friedberger FlÜgel
Fritz Pauker was awarded the innovation prize Friedberger Flügel, which is annually given to two persons or groups, who have rendered outstanding services to innovation in Friedberg. The prize was ceremoniously presented at the city hall in the context of a celebratory session of the town council.
